Against Iskerside Complete Story is a large story-driven map, where the plot revolves around magic and technology. You take on the role of an assistant who must stop a catastrophe caused by the main wizard. The player will go through seven story chapters, interact with numerous NPCs, and solve puzzles. The map also comes with its own texture pack that gives custom models to some of Minecraft’s technical aspects, such as dialogue windows. The map was created for version 1.21.8, and for proper operation, we recommend launching Against Iskerside Complete Story specifically on that version.

Start and rules

You will appear in a small white room where you can get acquainted with the basic rules and learn to interact with the environment. The player is in adventure mode, so you can’t break blocks or change the game mode. You just need to avoid cheating, set the render distance to no more than 16, and break the glowstone block to start the first chapter. In fact, this will already be a challenge, since no one gives hints on how to do it, and you can’t destroy it directly. On the other hand, there are other chapters available that you can access immediately, skipping the previous ones. This is done in the wooden basement of the main room. You can do this, but we don’t recommend it, so you don’t lose track of the story.

Main challenge

The first thing the player will face is the difficulty of the puzzles. And it is truly extreme here. Yes, there are fights and parkour elements that help diversify the difficult gameplay, but first and foremost, you are a scientist, so you must use your brain to solve the problems. Therefore, it will not be uncommon to get stuck and not understand what to do next. A wide variety of challenges will follow you throughout the game, no matter which chapter you reach. In each of the seven stages, you’ll have an introduction, a main goal, and a gradual path toward achieving it.

Additional collecting

The map also features scattered pages of a new edition called "The Scientists' Handbook". We learn that the book was torn apart, and its parts were hidden by enemies. This isn’t your main objective, but it would be a good idea to help restore it and find all the pages. Each level has a secret location where one page is hidden. Therefore, exploring the world and spending more time searching for collectible items is a good idea if you want to complete it 100%.

Exciting journey

We don’t want to reveal the essence of the puzzles or go too far into the story ahead of time.
