In Minecraft, there are many gameplay mechanics players must interact with — enchanting items, brewing potions, farming, mining, and more. Over time, players naturally accumulate experience (XP) through all these activities. But what if you can’t use it right away to enchant something, or don’t want to waste XP on useless enchantments? In vanilla Minecraft, there’s always a risk of “dying,” and if that happens, you lose around 90% of your XP. There’s a universal solution to this problem, and that’s exactly what this mod provides...

The Global XP mod adds a unique block to the game that stores your experience. You no longer need to waste XP on random enchantments or rush to infuse books with it “just in case.” Instead, you can safely save all your collected experience and use it later whenever you want. This system gives players a huge number of new possibilities, both in vanilla worlds and with modded or industrial setups. The mod is very popular and often included in top modpacks. Below, we’ll explain its main features and why it’s worth installing.

Do you often lose XP in the game? Have mob farms producing tons of experience orbs? With this mod, you can now store XP safely. It introduces a simple interface showing how much experience is stored, making management easy no matter where you are in the world. But first, let’s go over the main advantages of Global XP:
· XP Storage. You can save your experience without worrying about losing it if you die in dangerous dungeons, fall into the void, or get knocked into lava. Just deposit all your XP before setting off on your next adventure;

· XP Trading. This system can also be used to sell experience points. Collect a certain amount, then sell it to other players or use it yourself for high-level enchantments;
· Unique System. Everything operates through a new block that can be crafted in-game. Using it, you can safely store any amount of XP at any time by placing it inside the block;

· Extensive Settings. Most of them control the block’s visual appearance — like the emerald’s spinning animation inside, toggling auto-collection, changing pickup radius, or adjusting XP transfer modes — and more;

· Unlimited Storage. The XP Block can hold practically unlimited experience, whether you’re playing in vanilla or heavily modded worlds where XP builds up much faster;
· XP Display. You can check how much XP is stored simply by walking up to the block — it has a small interface showing the total amount.

How to Use the Block
To store XP, you need to craft a new block called the XP Block. It’s made with 8 iron bars and 1 emerald placed in the center (it looks great in-game). The process works like this:
· Place the XP Block anywhere you like (preferably in a safe or hidden location so other players can’t find it);
· Press Shift + Right Click to deposit all your XP (this instantly transfers everything you currently have into the block);
· Right Click the block to withdraw one XP level at a time. You can hold the button to take XP continuously.

Here’s what this new mechanic offers:
· All XP is transferred directly from your character to the block. If you want to keep some for yourself, you’ll need to withdraw it back manually, one level at a time;
· If you break the block, don’t worry — its contents are saved in a file. Once you place it again, your XP will still be there;

· The system allows you to trade or sell XP by setting up shops or vending stations with pre-filled XP Blocks;
· Hovering over an XP Block in your inventory shows how much experience it contains (in both levels and raw XP), making it easy to organize your storage;
· The configuration file lets players adjust many parameters, including settings for multiplayer servers so admins can customize how XP Blocks work for their world;
· XP Blocks can automatically collect nearby XP orbs, and you can even combine them with hoppers or automation systems;
· A “commission” setting is available — depositing XP costs nothing, but withdrawing it can charge a configurable percentage fee.

Even though Global XP adds just one block, it greatly expands what players can do. You can now safely store, trade, and transfer XP — even integrate it into automated systems on multiplayer servers. With its deep customization options, server admins can easily fine-tune how XP Blocks function. Try it yourself: save your hard-earned experience and explore Minecraft freely, without the fear of losing your precious XP ever again.
