In the vanilla version of the game, bread is one of the most popular food options because it’s easier to craft. However, a lot of time must be spent harvesting the crops and then planting seeds. Is there a way to simplify this process? Absolutely!

The Replanting Crops mod allows you to plant seeds on your farms at the same time you harvest the crops. That is, two actions are performed simultaneously: you harvest and plant seeds from your inventory. These can be seeds collected from the current farm or prepared earlier, since seeds usually drop with a certain probability along with the mature vegetables, so don’t expect a large number of seeds from the current harvest. This mechanic really helps save a lot of your time, regardless of which game version you’re playing!

Harvesting and replanting can be simplified to a single click using this mod. Now, every time you harvest mature crops, the system will automatically replant them. But if the player runs out of seeds, the process will stop, so it’s recommended to carry extra seeds to keep everything planted automatically. This mod works only if you have a hoe in your hand. Currently, it supports the following crops: cocoa beans, carrots, wheat, nether wart, and beetroot. The entire process is automatic.

If you want to disable this option, you don’t need to uninstall Replanting Crops. Just approach the farm and harvest while holding the Shift key. In this case, you will simply collect the mature crops without replanting. This is very useful when you want to clear the land or plant other types of crops later. In general, the mod developer left you the option to keep using the old system without removing the mod. Overall, it’s a very convenient and interesting mechanic for any farmer, allowing you to harvest and plant the mentioned crops in just a few clicks.

The developer added a separate configuration file where you can disable the requirement to have a hoe in your hand. For example, if you disable this option, you can harvest and automatically replant seeds without holding any tool. Most mods of this type work similarly. With this mod, harvesting speed and efficiency increase approximately twofold. You will spend much less time on the whole process, while the entire farm will still be planted. This is suitable for both vanilla survival and modded gameplay, although some plants from other mods may not work automatically.

If the player harvests different types of crops from farms, for example, from villagers' plots, replanting will occur randomly. This is important to keep in mind. Also, this system works with automatic farms but only if they have a fast water flow that might be interrupted. In such cases, you can harvest and replant any of the crops from the supported list and increase your production in the game. It’s an excellent choice for serious farming operations, where plantations may span 10x10 blocks or more.

Another important feature is support for harvesting and planting nether wart. You can quickly plant and harvest nether wart since the mature product itself acts as the seed. Thus, you will always have enough plants for replanting. This works both in the Nether and the Overworld. This significantly speeds up farming and is an important mechanic for survival in Minecraft since nether wart is used in brewing all types of potions, so players will constantly need this ingredient.

The Replanting Crops mod offers a powerful and very important functionality for vanilla Minecraft, allowing you to quickly plant and harvest most types of farms. Increase your harvesting speed, scale up production, and use automatic farms — all these features work together. For regular survival, this system will be extremely useful, and overall the mod works correctly, has several operation modes and settings, so every player will find something valuable in this addition.
