How do you move around the game world, for example, if you need to cross canyons or tall mountains? Usually, in this case, the player has to create some platforms or make improvised bridges, because not always do we have Elytra to fly up and cross that area through the air. And considering the different types of biomes in the game world, players often have to carry blocks with them or dig them out to build such platforms. But in this review, we will offer you another way, which involves crafting a unique device — a “grappling gun”!

The Rope Bridge modification adds an item that allows you to create suspension bridges by shooting at a specific point. The system will automatically stretch a suspension bridge from your location to that point, along which you can move. This is an interesting mechanic that allows you to overcome any obstacles, both in the normal world and in the Nether, where there are many lava lakes, canyons, and cliffs. With such options, many gameplay mechanics open up, and if you have not yet tried to play with this mod, you should definitely install it and see how your possibilities expand.

The new mechanic lets players cross any areas with canyons and cliffs more quickly, even if they don’t have ordinary blocks with them. But at the same time, you definitely need to stock up on special platforms, with the help of which the bridge is built: they allow you to create a path of a certain length, and the player must have at least a minimum number of these blocks in the inventory so that the system can build the structure. In the screenshots of this review, you can see what they look like, and such elements may differ in shade, since they are created from different types of wood available in the vanilla version of the game.

The game adds several new devices: the grappling gun for creating bridges and a similar option, only for ladders. That is, from a distance, players will be able to stretch huge constructions, for example, to cross canyons. You can see the crafting in our review, and the new types of weapons are created from different elements, each of which also requires spending some resources. That is, a modular system is used. And if the player finds themselves in some biome where they need to quickly cross a gap, river, canyon, cliffs, or many other types of ravines, it will be enough to have the weapon, platforms for building, and rope.

How to build a bridge?

· Stock up on blocks. As mentioned earlier, you must have platforms with you (they may be of different colors), and rope, so that the system can automatically lay the path from one point to another;

· Aim the weapon at the point where the path should go, and right-click, after which the platform is created within a few seconds;

· Now you can move along it, and it will remain there forever unless the player destroys this construction. Only a certain length is supported, but it can reach at least 100 blocks, which is a really large distance. In this mod, the process takes a couple of seconds, while in regular survival the player would have to spend at least 10 minutes on such a procedure, trying not to fall into the abyss.

If problems arise during the process (aimed at the wrong point, distance too great, not enough blocks), the system will notify you by showing a message in the chat. In about the same way, you can also create ladders at a distance, by looking in the right direction. For this, another weapon is used, but the crafting is almost the same, as is the usage mechanic. Of course, the first option wins here, allowing you to create suspension bridges, and such a construction is more often used in Minecraft.

Players in Creative mode can create suspension bridges without using resources. They don’t necessarily need to be in your inventory. The main thing is to follow all the standard conditions for aiming the weapon and the maximum length along which the trajectory of the construction is built. If you have access to Creative mode, you can test the possibilities of this add-on to see how the construction changes. For players, this is a real find, allowing them to create a path literally in the air at any time without wasting extra time on building.

Examples of using the Rope Bridge mod:

· Map creation. You can design various maps for completing or setting new records, and for this you can use this mod to quickly lay routes across canyons or other types of gaps;

· Exploring biomes. In the vanilla version of Minecraft, this mechanic makes it possible to quickly overcome any types of canyons and cliffs, especially in the Nether, where there are many different types of lava lakes. And if earlier the player had to manually build bridges, now this is done in just a couple of clicks;

· Competitions. On the server, you can hold various competitions between players, for example, who can build a bridge and move from one point to another faster.

The possibilities are really many, although the mod does not offer too many items or unique options in the game world. You can use it both in single-player mode and on your server if you need to diversify the gameplay of players and add something new. Be sure to try playing with this mod and see how the standard survival experience of players on the project changes. And also don’t forget that there is the /rankbridge command, with which you can create suspension bridges almost anywhere in the game world.
